The Phoenix law firm of Folks & O’Connor represents several national and regional banks concerning their claims in consumer bankruptcy proceedings pending in Arizona. Our seasoned Phoenix bankruptcy attorneys offer considerable experience in representing clients with respect to all aspects of their rights as secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings. Our lawyers have particular expertise in nondischargeability actions, pursuing motions for relief from the automatic stay, and objecting to Chapter 11 and 13 bankruptcy plans related to claims secured by residences and automobiles.

Larry O. Folks is the lead attorney responsible for litigating Arizona consumer bankruptcy cases referred to the firm. He is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law and a former partner of Kutak Rock, LLP, which is a national law firm. In addition, he is a Certified Bankruptcy Specialist (State Bar of Arizona) and a Certified Business Bankruptcy Specialist (American Board of Certification). Currently, he is serving as a member of the Executive Council of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Arizona and as a court-appointed panel mediator of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.

Consumer Bankruptcy Fees

The law firm typically bills its clients “flat fees” for uncontested consumer bankruptcy motions for relief from the automatic stay, bankruptcy plan objections and other routine matters. In addition, the firm offers highly discounted hourly rates for contested consumer bankruptcy cases. At our Phoenix offices, the firm also has significant experience in the use of the DataCert, Examen, iClear, LenStar and VendorScape billing and client reporting systems as they pertain to consumer bankruptcy referrals.
